Donations help Metsä Conservation Foundation permanently protect areas valuable to nature
Donations are used for the conservation of forests of high biodiversity value and connected habitats such as mires, cliffs and waters. Metsä Conservation Foundation always aims for permanent conservation.
The Foundation accepts donations from private individuals, companies and other organizations under the Finnish fundraising permit no. RA/2026/875.
Metsä Conservation Foundation aims to protect as many high biodiversity sites around Finland as possible. Company donations play an important role in the effectiveness and long-term continuity of our conservation work. A donation to forest conservation is a tangible act of supporting nature, demonstrating a commitment to protecting biodiversity.
These donations can be either one-time donations or longer-term donation agreements. Companies and other organisations can make a one-time donation to the Foundation by completing the donation form. Once the form has been submitted and processed, we will send an invoice that can be used to make the donation.
For donation agreements, we tailor the form of donation to suit your organization’s needs. A donation agreement can, for example, cover a partnership lasting 2–5 years. You can make a donation to Metsä Conservation Foundation via MobilePay, by bank transfer or by requesting an invoice.
MobilePay

Invoice
You can make a bank transfer through your own banking service using an amount and payment method of your choice. The minimum donation by bank transfer is 5 €.

Requesting an invoice
To request an invoice, please send us the following information by email: the donor’s (your own) name and address, the donation amount and the preferred invoice date. We will send the invoice to you by email. The minimum donation amount via invoice is 50 €. Please note that you cannot order an invoice on behalf of another person.
The National Police Board of Finland granted Metsä Conservation Foundation a fundraising permit on 26 June 2026. The permit number is RA/2026/875. The permit is valid throughout Finland, excluding Åland, from 26 June 2026 onwards.
Funds raised through donations are used to protect areas of high biodiversity value. The funds may be used to pay conservation compensation to landowners, acquire properties for conservation purposes, and support conservation-related activities such as the assessment of forest sites. Funds may also be used for activities serving the public interest, including the production and publication of information on forest biodiversity, as well as activities directly supporting the Foundation’s public-benefit objectives, such as communications related to conservation work.
